OBJECTIVE
Volkswagen’s main project objective was to inform and encourage young bands to participate with Soundfoundation, and benefit from its promotional platform. Also, the aim of the website was to become a dual resource for journalists and music fans. Fork’s role was to transform the complex aims of Soundfoundation 2008 into a website based on the technical infrastructure of the corporate Content Management System – thereby, making the connection between the Soundfoundation and Volkswagen.de much more explicit.
SOLUTION
Fork explored a wide range of design and interface options, such as the optimum placement of audio and video, as well as various graphic and photographic aesthetics to enhance the user experience and demonstrate the intensity of live shows.
RESULTS
The complex concept and rich content of the Soundfoundation site are presented in an easy-to-understand and digestible way. Also, the new online presence is easy to maintain: new content can be quickly edited and published, ensuring relevancy and a more organic feel. Finally, the website demonstrates once again that Fork are able to create a base for successful integrated online/offline activities for major global brands.
