OBJECTIVE
For the Federal Agency for Civic Education, the German Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, and the Federal Youth Council Fork has designed the Projekt P web portal, an initiative for the active political participation of young people. Our challenge: developing a community platform, where young people can get information, network and take part in political decisions.
SOLUTION
Fork created a modular layout representing the dynamic structure required by the various options of interaction and participation. Due to this structure the permanently changing contents can be easily updated with users being actively involved in the process.
RESULTS
Politics don’t have to be boring: The dynamic structure, the fresh design and the animated Projekt P logo, which plays on the varying styles of youth culture, are perfectly geared towards the young target group – as proved by the vital community of the more than 330 active user profiles and over 200 projects online by 2006.
